Traken

The planet of Traken is at the head of the Union of Traken. The people of Traken are essentially peaceful, living in harmony together. A notable feature is the garden the Fosters tend where they manage the spiritual harmony. The harmony is brought about by a bioelectrical power known as the Source, controlled by the Keeper of Traken.

When the fourth Doctor visits Traken his visit co-incides with a plan by the Master. The Master plans to become the Keeper of Traken and use the power of the Source for his own ends. The Union of Traken is destroyed when the Master tampered with Logopolis.

Traken was the home planet of the Doctor's companion Nyssa .
